About Me

There's a version of this page where I list my credentials and let them do the talking. 

That version bores me.

Here's what's true: I came into this work as a teacher who wanted to understand why some systems transform children's lives while others consistently fail them. My goal is shifting from change to challenge, asking, “How can I support my students beyond the classroom and into their communities?” This question drove everything, from the classroom to campaigns, from data cycles to data systems, from data systems to policy, and from policy to the center of a national conversation about AI in education that I didn't just enter; I helped shape it.

I founded The Dominga Collective because I kept seeing the same gap: leaders who genuinely care about their communities, surrounded by decisions being made for them without them. That is unacceptable, but it is fixable.

I am building at the edge of what's known in a field that is being defined in real time, by people willing to ask hard questions and stay in the room long enough to work through them. I write and talk about that honestly, because the pretense of certainty is one of the things holding education back.

My Beliefs

Equity is a non-negotiable and is bigger than any debate about it. This will always matter to me and those who truly value building a successful educational system. Even those who challenge, dismiss, or weaponize it are still its recipients. Prove me wrong.

Technology encodes choices about who matters. Every system is a values statement made by whoever built it. This should be taken seriously. The question I ask about any AI tool is the same question I ask about any policy: who was in the room when this was designed, and who wasn't?

Proximity to a problem is a form of expertise. The people living inside a challenge carry knowledge that no credential, dataset, or policy brief can fully capture. I prefer to orient toward that knowledge.

Relationships are a durable infrastructure. The ones built on honesty, integrity, and morality, sustained by human connectedness and compassion, outlast every institution, every funding cycle, every title. I invest in them accordingly.
